Tonight I'm going to the altar.
Not metaphorically. Candles, intention, two-part ritual; the kind of working you don't rush and don't do on a random day just because it crossed your mind. Tonight earned it.
Because today is May 1st. Beltane. And tonight's moon is full.
Let's talk about why that matters, because this particular combination doesn't happen every year and it deserves more than a passing mention.
Beltane is one of the great fire festivals of the Wheel of the Year, the midpoint between the spring equinox and the summer solstice, the moment when the veil between worlds thins in a different way than Samhain. Where Samhain opens the door to what has passed, Beltane opens the door to what is alive. It is a festival of fire, of fertility, of things that have been growing in the dark finally breaking fully into the light.
And tonight that moment is sitting inside a full moon.
The full moon is the peak of the lunar cycle, maximum illumination, maximum energetic charge. What has been building reaches its fullness. What has been hidden gets flooded with light. It is not subtle energy. It is a spotlight.
Put those two things together and you have a night that is asking very clearly: what needs to be brought into the light?
For me, the answer is specific. I'm doing a two-part working tonight to reveal those who have caused harm and strip away the protections that have been shielding them from accountability. The full moon on Beltane doesn't ask for gentle magic. It asks for clarity, precision, and fire.
